Applied Math for Games covers both math and math's applications in video game creation. Each class will cover some traditional math concepts, including basic linear algebra, trigonometry, and calculus, as well as some more specific applications, such as color and probability. Finally, physics concepts and some coding skills will also be presented to help students apply all the concepts towards small programs. This includes a program that will start as a simple tank made of lines and then expand with movement, enemies, and collision. Students will need to have completed Algebra 1 as a prerequisite.
This year-long course is equivalent to .5 math credit.
This course meets on Mondays.
